“When you wanna be the best, you go and shoot the best!”
It’s no secret that throughout it’s six previous editions the JConcepts Indoor National Series has grown to become one of, if not THE premier indoor 1/10 travelling race tour in North America. It travels to great race tracks. It attracts top local talent and brings pro talent with it. It brings hype. And atmosphere. Most importantly it creates a culture of great racing. And on May 19-21 2017, for the second race of it’s 7th season the JConcepts INS brought it all, including a fleet of pro talent, to PNW racing mecca Tacoma R/C Raceway that would rival any top level event on the planet. Ryan Cavalieri, Spencer Rivkin, Dustin Evans, Carson Wernimont, you know, just to name a few. (Ryan Maifield was announced to attend but did withdraw prior to the event). Up and coming talent Daimon Borkowicz, brothers Austin and Aydin Horne, Arizona’s Kamryn Ayres; that’s before you even consider local talent like Harley Yoshii, Ryan Matesa, Tanner Day or even begin to account for wily veterans like Reedy Race Open Champion Brent Thielke who can never be counted out. Basically, this was an explosion of the best talent at the best track in the best race series. It did not disappoint.

I was in the TRCR house purely to enjoy the Sunday mains action and shoot photos. I just hoped to capture a couple of shots of the best racers in the world and knowing the challenges I would face with regard to lighting I did not have the highest expectations. What I got was actaully amazing and I really surprised myself! I captured a stack of great moments and you can see them all here on my Flickr page. I have picked 30 of the best and attached them below. You can also see lots more of my photos on Instagram and Facebook. Thank you for taking the time to read this article and browse my photos, I sincerely appreciate your attention! Please enjoy and don’t forget to send your feedback.
